Twigs Florals Flower Camp is a hands-on, creativity-packed floral experience designed for kids ages 5 to 14+. Running Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm, each 5-day session is hosted right here at our studio at 101 Woodshadow Lane in Encinitas — a space built on a love of flowers, family, and bringing beauty into everyday life. Twigs Florals is a mother-daughter owned floral studio founded in 2018 by Nancy Armstrong. Rooted in Encinitas and specializing in weddings, events, and local floral design, Twigs has built a reputation for thoughtful, heartfelt arrangements that make life's most meaningful moments feel even more special. From dreamy wedding installations to celebration bouquets and everything in between, Nancy and Samantha pour intention and creativity into every single stem. Nancy, the creative heart and Head Florist of Twigs, is a lifelong nature lover and mama of four with a deep passion for the art of floral design. Her years of experience working with families, brides, and local clients — combined with her natural warmth and patience — makes her the perfect guide for young flower lovers. Samantha, the oldest of four and co-owner of Twigs, joined the business from the very beginning and has grown alongside it every step of the way. As the studio's Florist and Business Manager, she brings energy, organization, and a genuine love of connecting with people to everything she does. Together, they make a team that is as fun as it is talented. Flower Camp is their way of passing that love of flowers on to the next generation. Campers will spend the week diving into the art of florals through activities like hand-tied arranging, flower crown making, floral clay art, color theory, mood boarding, fruit flower arrangements, mini succulent building, photography of their own work, and so much more. Every child leaves with the fresh florals they worked with throughout the week, a Twigs t-shirt, and a gift bag packed with all the floral tools they need to keep creating at home. Light snacks are provided daily — just bring a packed lunch and a water bottle. The week wraps up with a pizza party and pool party (with a licensed lifeguard on duty) to celebrate everything the campers created together. With seven sessions available June through July and limited spots per session, we encourage you to reserve your child's spot early. Tuition is $495 per child and a signed waiver is required prior to camp.
