Wanting to create a kyusu that would not look out of place in the kitchen, we asked Nankei Seitoen, a pottery company that has been making Banko-yaki kyusu, to create it, and this is the finished product. The body, lid, handle, spout, and several other parts are hand-hewn on a potter's wheel before being connected. The finished product is the result of a number of processes that are carried out by the hands of craftsmen. The lids are made by sliding them one by one onto the main body, so they fit together perfectly and comfortably. The fine texture of the base material is used and the tea is baked without glaze, so the aroma of tea does not stick to it, allowing you to enjoy the aroma of each type of tea.
