DESCRIPTION This fine raglan-style tweed overcoat is of Swedish origin, most likely produced sometime during the 1950s, and is made by the brand Junex. It is crafted from a heavy mid-brown classic tweed fabric with a small-scale check pattern. The coat is single-breasted and fastens with four buttons, plus an additional top button for full closure at the neck. It features a concealed front placket. The front pockets are vertical, and the back has a single vent. Inside, the coat is fully lined in a checked wool fabric and includes two internal pockets—one on each side—both with button closures. In terms of condition, the overall impression is good. However, upon closer inspection, there are a few minor details worth noting. The bottom front button is mismatched—although very similar to the others, so it takes a sharp eye to notice. If desired, all buttons could easily be replaced for uniformity. There is also some minor wear on the inside of all buttonholes, but this is completely hidden when the coat is worn, thanks to the concealed fastening. A slight hint of fading is present on the collar, though this only becomes visible if the collar is flipped up. As mentioned, the overall condition remains strong, and some of these cosmetic flaws may be worth overlooking if you're looking for a coat from this era in such a relatively uncommon colour.
