The E2A3 Infrared Sensor Module is also known as a Line Tracking Module. It is a design-based TCRT5000 sensor, an infrared reflection-type photoelectric switch. It is ideal for the design of a robot car with an obstacle avoidance adjustable distance feature. The sensor is light adaptable, high precision, with a pair of infrared transmitters and receivers. The signal output interface outputs a digital signal that the potentiometer knob can detect to adjust the distance, and the effective distance is from 2cm to 40cm. Therefore, it is helpful to work on robot applications, such as a line-following robot car and a line decoder. Furthermore, it works for various microcontrollers, such as Arduino controller, BS2 controller and when attached to the robot, it can sense changes around their surroundings.
