Prunus salicina Mariposa Plum Dwarf is a delicious heart-shaped blood plum, with dark red skin and deep red, juicy sweet flesh with an excellent flavour. The plums mature during mi d-season, typically from late January to early February. One of the largest blood plums, Mariposa is popular for preserves, jams and juices. For best results, cross-pollinate with other Japanese plum varieties such as Narrabeen, Satsuma, and Santa Rosa. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears.
