Extracting stubborn #219 chain rivets requires precision, and sourcing exact-fit kart parts for your pit tools is the only way to prevent driveline binding. The KMC #219 Replacement Push Pin (SKU: KMPPM219) is engineered specifically for the KMCTM219 chain breaker, delivering a precise 5/16" strike to effortlessly press out seized pins. A compromised chain breaker pin leads to bent links, stiff drivelines, and lost horsepower on the track. This direct-replacement component restores your economy chain tool to factory precision, ensuring you can break and rivet #219 chains without damaging the delicate side plates or rollers. Essential Maintenance for Peak Driveline Performance Maintaining proper chain tension and integrity is just as critical to your lap times as tuning an lo206 carburetor kit or dialing in your chassis setup. A worn push pin can slip during extraction, mushrooming the chain's rivet and ruining an otherwise perfect race chain. By keeping a fresh KMC replacement pin in your toolbox, you guarantee a clean, straight push every time. Whether you are running a high-revving two-stroke or a heavy-duty setup driven by an electric motor for go karts, your #219 chain requires exact tolerances to transfer power efficiently to the rear axle. Precision Karting Tools & Components Professional mechanics know that every component matters. Just as you routinely inspect the parts of wheel assemblies for stress fractures or upgrade to the safest kart racing helmets to protect the driver, maintaining your pit tools is non-negotiable. This 5/16" push pin is machined from hardened steel to resist bending under high-torque loads, making it the ultimate cost-effective solution for extending the life of your KMCTM219 breaker. A: You should replace your push pin if you notice the tip is mushroomed, bent, or chipped. A worn pin will not sit flush against the chain rivet, which can cause the pin to slip, damage your chain side plates, or lead to stiff links in your #219 chain. Q: Is this push pin compatible with other brands of chain breakers? A: This replacement pin is precision-machined specifically for the KMC KMCTM219 #219 chain breaker. We recommend using it only with the intended KMC tool to ensure proper alignment and prevent damage to the tool or your chain. Q: How do I install the new push pin into my KMCTM219 breaker? A: Installation is straightforward: simply unscrew the handle or locking mechanism on your KMCTM219 tool, remove the damaged pin, insert the new KMC replacement pin, and secure it back into place. Ensure the pin is tightened properly before applying pressure to a chain. Q: Can I use this pin for #35 chains? A: No. This pin is specifically sized with a 5/16" strike diameter for #219 kart racing chains. Using the incorrect pin size for your chain type can result in damaged rollers or broken side plates. Q: What is the best way to prevent the push pin from breaking prematurely? A: Always ensure the chain is perfectly centered and aligned with the push pin before applying force. Avoid "side-loading" the pin by ensuring the chain breaker is square to the chain link. Keeping the threads of your tool lightly lubricated also helps ensure smooth operation.
