Madirans are generally rich and chunky and full of black fruit. This one certainly leans that way, but it is fresher and much more lively on the palate than the typical high-tannin Madiran (no doubt owing to its 20% each of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon). Staff Review: A stellar red blend with tons of rich dark fruit up front, finishing with just enough earth tone to make you realize, yes it is a French wine. Great wine for the price.. enjoy!!
