The signature of the Italian violinist, who later also took up conducting, is on fol. 2 recto. This concert was probably the seventeen-year-old Accardo's first appearance in Lyon. He is billed as the winner of the International Competition of Geneva in 1956 and the Paganini competition of 1958. 8.25 x 5.25 inches (21 x 13.5 cm). Signed program of a recital as part of the Sere d'Arte at Castel Sant'Angelo festival in Rome, September 4, 2016 under the heading "Accardo and Friends." Early on, Accardo "toured throughout Europe and North and South America and soon became one of the best-known and most admired Italian violinists of his generation.
