Signed 1980 concert poster of the esteemed and influential blues musician from a Feburary 13 [1980] appearance with the Big Sky Mudflaps at the University of Montana Ballroom. Bold ly signed "Muddy Waters" in black ink to a light area of the image, upper left; and to the lower right by the poster's artist, Monte Dolack. 20 x 15 inches sheet size, nicely framed to 23.25 x 18.25 inches overall. In fine condition, a very uncommon autograph in this format.Mark Osteen's amusing review in the Montana Kaimin (2/15/80), titled "Muddy Waters melts Missoula Ice," concludes by describing the two encores played at the conclusion of the performance: "He got off his stool for the first time on his rave-up theme 'Got My Mojo Working,' and had the audience singing along. Muddy jumped up and down, growling and moaning to 'Mannish Boy' - 'I'm a man, I spell M-A-N, Man.' To most of the people there, he was more than that." Show more
