She was even jailed for 10 days on obscenity charges due to the risque nature of her play Sex. As she once said, she approved of censorship, as it made her so much money. In Diamond Lil she played a wisecracking tart-with-a-heart who strolls through the show singing a few songs, and being chased by a string of men.
