On offer is a sensational, original archive of 500+ index cards and 4.5 x 7.75 inch softback faux leather, 6-ring binder pages all meticulously filled out with the lyrics of songs, including some from Broadway, from the 1940s and early 1950s. The many hours of painstaking work to fill an index card for each and every song betrays a clearly obsessed and dedicated fan of the music of her times. Music historians will find a true treasure trove. Here are a few of the tunes: Heaven Help this Heart of Mine, For All We Know, Aren't We All, I'll Take an Option On You, You've got Something there, By a Waterfall, Try a Little Tenderness, when My Dream Boat comes Home, Rolling In Love, So shy, The Donkey Serenade, Moonstruck, Paper Moon, Let's Sail to Dreamland, and of course, many, many others! Included are two handwritten pages with the song lyrics to Love Locked Out, Temptation, Inka Dinka Do, Your Gonna Love Your Gal, Our big Love Scene, and Big Rock Candy Mountain. While we are uncertain of the origins we did acquire this from the family of the writer based in Oregon.
