Our Series 2405-B Straight Male JIC x Female NPT adapters, made from high-quality brass, provide a durable and reliable connection between hoses and pipes in hydraulic systems. The se one-piece rigid adapters feature a male JIC end that connects seamlessly to a female NPT fitting. JIC (Joint Industry Council) fittings, defined by SAE J514, are compression fittings with a 37-degree flare seating surface and parallel threads, commonly used for their reliability in fluid power systems. The connection is formed by ensuring contact between the male flared and female coned seat, creating a strong mechanical seal. NPT (National Pipe Taper) connections, with tapered threads, are designed for sealing pipes for fluid and gas transfer, ideal for single-assembly applications. While NPT connections offer a metal-to-metal seal, they are not recommended for frequent assembly and disassembly. The Series 2405-B adapters, with their brass construction, enhance system performance and are the go-to choice for professionals seeking dependable hydraulic solutions. Show more
