Description 24V LED Light Transformer (Magnetic) Low Voltage - Dimmable - Indoor/Outdoor Use This low-voltage, dimmable series of LED transformers is flicker-free and are suitable for any 24V LED strip light project. This 24V driver works best with our IP20 PRO Series,IP20 COB Series, IP54 Silicone Coated Series, IP67 Waterproof Series, and Ultra Flat Under Cabinet Light Bar Series. Available in various wattages 40W - 300W, this LED transformer can be operated with any magnetic low voltage (MLV) wall-mounted dimmer that is available online or at any hardware store (see dimmer compatibility list). Driver Selection Step 1: Determine Total Wattage Calculate the total wattage of the LED strip lights you plan to use. This is done by multiplying the wattage per foot (or meter) of the strip by the total length you'll need. For example, if your strip uses 5 watts per foot and you need 20 feet, the calculation is: Total Wattage = 5 watts per foot × 20 feet = 100 watts Step 2: Add a Safety Margin To ensure reliability and prevent overload, it's wise to add a safety margin of 20% to your total wattage. This means you will need a transformer that can handle: Required Transformer Capacity = Total Wattage × 1.2, so 100 watts × 1.2 = 120 watts Therefore, in this example, you should select a transformer with at least 120 watts capacity. *Example: a 16.4ft strip is 50 watts x 1.2 = 60 watt driver is needed Features 24V DC driver IP65 rated for indoor/outdoor use ETL listed Compatibility – There are no minimum load requirements when used with a dimmer.
