TITLE: Sanctuary for The Christmas Story DESCRIPTION: The Christmas Story large-scale nativity collection has a majestic presence. The two-piece set of Mary and Joseph fit with the three Gentle Animals of the Stable on the wood base of the 24Óh Sanctuary backdrop. Pierced metal Tree Silhouettes add color and texture. (The Christmas Story figures, Gentle Animals of the Stable, and Tree Silhouettes sold separately) Since 1999, American artist Susan Lordi has worked in partnership with DEMDACO to produce, market and distribute Willow Tree¨, her line of carved figurative sculpture. From her studio in Kansas City, Lordi hand carves the original of each figure, and designs accompanying pieces. This piece is constructed from Lordi's original prototype and painted by hand. Enclosed inside the fitted packaging box is a gift-giving card with piece title on it.
