This course will give architects the tools to follow safe business management and design management processes and the confidence to meet their statutory and professional duties. 1. Speaker Nigel Ostime Drawing on over 30 years’ experience as a registered architect, Nigel delivers risk management and productivity improvement services to medium and large-sized practices through Ostime Consulting. His experience includes seven years as director of a large practice, three as director of a startup modular housing company and for the last 9 years leading project delivery at HawkinsBrown, where he continues to work, alongside the consultancy business. His work includes contract negotiation and price discrimination advice alongside facilitating client feedback based on research he led for RIBA into ‘what clients want’. He also develops management systems, standard forms, and procedures for maintaining error-free, efficient project management and provides guidance on the requirements of the Building Safety Act. Nigel is the author of a number of books for RIBA and lectures on professional practice at several schools of architecture.
