The PSI-REP-PROFIBUS/12MB is a modular repeater designed for electrical isolation and range increase in PROFIBUS networks operating at data rates up to 12 Mbps. It provides high-quality 4-way galvanic isolation between all interfaces, enabling reliable bus segmentation and network extension. The device features automatic data rate detection or manual setting via DIP switches, bit oversampling for sporadic disturbance detection, and bit retiming for unrestricted device cascading. It filters faulty telegrams based on start delimiter detection and can be combined with PSI-MOS fiber optic converters in a modular configuration using the integrated DIN rail backplane bus.
