The 28 Series is the work of Omer Arbel, whose practice at Bocci begins not with a sketch but with the development of technique. Each hand-blown glass sphere is formed through a proprietary process that introduces recessed inclusions directly into the molten glass, creating an interior geometry that exists nowhere else in production glasswork. No two pieces are identical. The irregularity is not incidental but essential, the natural consequence of a process that resists mechanical repetition. At 2700K, light passes through the hand-blown walls and the captured voids, producing a glow that is warm, diffuse, and quietly alive. The 28 Series is designed for broad configurability. It can be specified as: Single pendants for intimate, focused installations Random multi-light arrangements scaled to the architecture Custom chandelier compositions developed in collaboration with the Bocci studio Made to order in Vancouver, each configuration is a direct expression of the glassblower's hand and the particular conditions of that casting. The result is lighting that carries the character of its own making.
