The 28 Series is among Omer Arbel's most sustained investigations into the possibilities of hand-blown glass, and the 28t brings that inquiry to the table scale. Each piece is formed through a technique that creates recessed inclusions within the glass itself, voids that catch and pool light rather than simply transmitting it. The glow shifts with viewing angle, and because the process governs the form, no two globes are identical. The hardware is as considered as the glass. A slender cylinder houses an integral dimming system, keeping the silhouette clean. The semi-rigid black fabric cord can be shaped by hand, allowing the lamp to hold a deliberate posture on a desk or console. The base is available in brass or black, each finishing the composition with a different weight and warmth.
