The extra thick padding is made from polyurethane with a soft leather texture and fixed to a thick plywood base board. We use high quality double stitching, which is rubber sealed to protect from damage and drastically reduces wear and tear. The padding is extremely comfortable to lie on but firm enough for dumbbell or barbell exercises.
