They are powder coated NOT vinyl dipped. Powder coating is safer for your pets because it ensures that if chewed, there will be no pieces peeling off for your pet to accidentally ingest. The hole sizes are approximately 1.5 inches so that your adult pet won't be able to squeeze through. We do not recommend putting guinea pigs under 2 months old in these cages due to the possibility of them getting stuck or squeezing through. Corrugated Plastic - Our high quality corrugated bases are 5mm thick (much thicker than others on the market). They are easy to assemble using the included rivets and extremely durable, sturdy, and secure. The sides of the base are 6 inches tall to prevent hay and poops from spilling out of the cage.Lofts- Lofts create some extra space in your cage and a fun area for your pet to explore.
