Their increased thickness over conventional interface pads further reduces the likelihood of over-sanding and creating uneven spots, by helping to compensate for the pressure being put on the dual-action sanding machine. As shown below, the Extra-Thick 5" Sanding Interface Pads offer nearly twice as much padding as conventional, garden-variety foam interface pads.
