The original "Lipstick" Lesbian flag emerged online around 2010 with red lips on 6 or 7 stripes. Emily Gwen designed the simplified 7- stripe orange and pink gradients. In modern u sage, the design has simplified this design to 5 stripes. Flag is 3 feet by 4.5 feet in size. Flags are made from durable 200D Polyester. 200D is the perfect flag material; anything heavier doesn't fly well and the "back" doesn't get enough ink, anything lighter feels cheap and wont last very long.
