The Exhaust Heater Hose Connector Pipe fits through the large holes on either side of the rear engine tin into the kidney-shaped ducts of the stock muffler. It connects the fresh a ir hoses from the fan shroud to the heater boxes beneath the engine via these ducts. Designed for vehicles with Type 1 or 2 engines equipped with fresh air heater boxes, it suits 1963–1977 Standard Beetles, 1971–1979 Super Beetles, 1963–1974 Karmann Ghias, 1973–1974 Things, and 1963–1971 Type 2 models (Bus, Single Cab, Double Cab).
