The Bubblesound Springverb produces the characteristic reverb-sounds we love. On top it comes with an integrated filter based on the SEM20. The SpringVerb offers a versatile state-variable filter, similar to the much loved SEM20, at the audio input. You can saturate and filter the input signal at this stage and enhance it with the Resonance parameter. The resonance can go into self-oscillation and can be very aggressive (the resonance-circuit is based on the MS20!). Cutoff and Resonance are controllable via knob and CV. After the filter, the signal is sent to the reverb driver, then through the spring and back to a Voltage Controlled Crossfader for a CV-able Wet/Dry. For more flexible results you can determine if the “Dry” signal is pre- or post-filter. In addition to the aforementioned features there is also a Feedback knob that lets you send the processed signal back to the input section. This is a great source for experimental sounds that can be huge and aggressive or, with careful “tuning”, very subtle. Another way of changing the sound and especially the reverb times is to use a different reverb tank. SpringVerb is compatible with a lot of different spring tanks (see list below). It comes with a versatile medium decay, 3-spring tank, but you can also experiment with other tanks. When experimenting with spring reverbs, try to actually play with the springs. Touch them, place small objects on them and so on. But, be careful with the output volume and try not to break the spring tank.
