12” x 15” framed lithograph (9”x12”) on white cotton rag paper with chine-collé. Created using tonal transfer to lithographic stone. Center piece of the Consumption Triptych. ”Merc y Brown died of tuberculosis in 1892. Her family feared that she was a vampire, draining their lives from beyond the grave. To prevent anyone else in the family from falling ill, her body was exhumed, and her heart and liver were harvested to create a tonic that the family consumed.” Show more
