The Science The aquaponics unit is designed based on an ebb & flow hydroponic method. The flood brings the water and all nutrients to your plants' roots and the drain draws in fresh oxygen into the root zone. The AutoSiphon system controls the draining and flooding. The AutoSiphon cycle begins when the level of the water in the plant bed exceeds the downsprout's point of overflow and siphons back into the fish tank. This oxygenates the water for your fish.
