From its incept ion, the EP-3 Echoplex captivated guitarists with its tape echo functionality and the sweet sound of its built-in preamp, quickly becoming a staple in the recording studios of legendary guitarists such as Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, and Eric Johnson. Now, the day has finally come when you can incorporate that "secret sauce" of a preamp into your own pedalboard. To perfectly reproduce the beloved EP-3 preamp characteristics, we recreated the exact same path from the FET to the sound output. The gain control can be boosted up to +11dB, and when set to high gain, it is tuned to produce a unique character with its carefully crafted clipping characteristics. It's powered by a 9V battery and designed to provide a stable output for almost its entire lifespan. The knobs are replicas of the EP-3, and it features a true bypass circuit with an LED.
