Based on the legendary germanium Dallas Arbitor Fuzz Face; the Dasy features dual Matsushita AC128 transistors, Philips & Ducon caps, Philips and Allen Bradley resistors, Cliff jac ks & Alpha Pots with Dailywell footswitch. Each Van Diemens effect pedal is hand crafted, point to point in Tasmania, Australia. The boards are hand crafted and use either hand cut and drilled 60s phenolic board or 2mm black turret board depending on the model or pedal requirements. Boards may use turrets, eyelets or be perf board.. Each pedal features one or more carefully chosen classic transistors that were made in the '50s, 60s and 70s. Capacitors and resistors are carefully tested and chosen and come from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The transistors in Van Diemens Analogue Audio Disruptors are all VINTAGE PNP Germanium. As a result they are susceptible to large changes in temperature. Some models, such as the Thylacine, Tarkine and Okines use diodes on the first transistor to help combat that issue. Each pedal features both an internal battery snap and an external Power socket. All Van Diemens Analogue Audio Disruptors utilise PNP Germanium Transistors. It is imperative that an isolated power supply be used that is negative centre, or a 9v battery is used. DO NOT use with a daisy chain, as it could result in the damage of the pedal and void the warranty. Current draw on all of these pedals is approximately 1~2 mA.
