The Rhinowalk Mechanic Series quick-release motorcycle pannier system combines a semi-rigid 20L or 35L side bag with a slide-in mounting plate for fast removal from a compatible motorcycle rack. Choose one bag, a matched pair, a mixed 20L/35L pair, or the MP24003 rack extender accessory. Why choose the Mechanic Series pannier? Quick-release rack mounting: the reinforced back plate slides into its rack-mounted base so the bag can be removed without undoing soft straps. Two useful capacities: select 20L for a more compact setup or 35L for larger touring loads. Flexible pair options: buy one bag, two bags of the same size, or a mixed 20L/35L pair for motorcycles with different left- and right-side clearance. Waterproof inner storage: a seamless welded inner liner and roll-top closure protect packed gear when correctly closed. Semi-rigid structure: reinforced panels help the bag keep its shape while the front MOLLE area supports compatible external gear. Built for travel: a wide opening, carry handle, heavy-duty buckles and lock-compatible closures support touring and daily use. The rack must provide enough flat mounting area, suitable fastener access and safe clearance from the exhaust, wheel, chain and suspension. The system is not universally compatible with every rack. Uneven, curved or asymmetrical racks may require the optional MP24003 extender. The right side of some BMW GS rack systems also requires an adapter. Compare the rack shape and mounting area with the compatibility and installation diagrams below before ordering. Is the entire outer bag waterproof? The key waterproof barrier is the seamless welded inner liner. Roll and fasten the liner correctly, keep it free of punctures and inspect it before wet-weather use. When is the MP24003 extender needed? Use the extender when the rack is curved, uneven or does not provide enough offset for the standard plate. It is also useful for certain asymmetrical rack installations.
