He is considered the strongest of the totem animals, possessing supernatural power and credited with creating storms. When he blinks, lighting comes out of his eyes, and when he flaps his wings, thunder roars. He hunts and eats whales by using the two lightning snakes kept under his wings. Don Wadhams Don was taught his carving technique by his uncle, Kwakiutl master carver Lloyd Wadhams Sr. in 1992. While he began as a wood carver, Don mainly works with metals at this point. He enjoys producing works that incorporate overlay, and contemporary smithing techniques. Show more
