60s -William Cahill California- Womens wedding dress which appears to have been altered from a 1950s satin and enlarged by using a later addition of a lighter weight polyester. This looks to have been done by a skilled seamstress and blends both by use of applique and trim artfully positioned. The neckline is high with the back having hooks and an underside net lining with a back separating zipper which if left unfastened or could be taken out accomadates more bustline. There is not a fitted waist seam and the Hip is not defined either so the sizing can accommadate a more pear shaped body. The bodice sleeves and lower border are from the older lusterous satin with the sleeves having fabric covered buttons into loops and extending over the upper hand area. The full back skirt section extends 22inches in length beyond the front creating a nice flowing train while walking the aisle. There is a satin slip which is made to be worn under the dress and is a more fitted A-line garment for a nicer fabric depth. A fitted satin cap with pearl bead trim and bows accompanies this dress and under dress duo. It has a lace underlining and netting could be added for a veil of ones choice.
