The Intellijel Multigrain is a Stereo Morphing Granular Sampler with instant access to up to eight different audio samples that are played back through a granular engine with morph able scenes, and a reverb effect that we call Blur. Granular sampling or synthesis creates small slices of audio—or grains—from a larger piece of audio. In Multigrain, streams of grains can be shaped, layered, pitched, filtered, and reversed to generate entirely new sounds. The eight available Sounds use stereo WAV files, up to 32 seconds long, to generate grains from. These are loaded in from the microSD card (where you can store thousands of files), recorded from the inputs, or resampled from the outputs. The granular engine has a full set of controls to shape your grains. You can apply two panel settings per Sound—Scenes A and B—then morph between them using the Morph fader or automate it with the dedicated Morph CV/Attenuverter. Multigrain has three assignable CV inputs, which can be applied to the granular engine’s parameters. You can also apply internally generated random modulation and sync Multigrain to your system clock. Dedicated Next, Gate, Select CV inputs allow you to sequence or surf through sounds, layering and mixing them on top of each other. Features Eight Sounds available at once — Each Sound can be freely assigned from the MicroSD card or by sampling directly into the module. Latch your sound for drones or use unlatched for percussive bursts of sound Morph each Sound between two Scenes — Two individual sets of parameters for each Sound 13 Dedicated Granular Parameters — 10 Per-Knob Functions, 3 Behaviour Toggles Built-in Per-Sound Pitch Quantiser Clock Sync toggle and Input Blur (HiFi Reverb) — Process your grains and L/R Inputs through a unique proprietary reverb algorithm Sample directly on the module— Sample the L/R Inputs directly or… Resample (internally) the L/R Outputs to reprocess your new sounds Optionally Normalise feature for maximum dynamic range 32-second Always-Listening recording buffer — capture the sounds you thought you missed Advanced Sample Trimming UI built into the module Use dedicated Next, Select and Gate CV to surf or sequence through Sounds 4 Assignable Channels of Modulation— 3 Assignable CV inputs Internal Random Source All is assignable with attenuvertion to any and all parameters at once 2 Freely Assignable 48KHz Modulation Outputs— Morph Position Grain Trigger Grain Envelope Envelope follower (Input Signal) Envelope follower (Output Signal) Random Sample & Hold via Grain Trigger Plenty of Shortcuts available for advanced users 32GB MicroSD Card (Included) Front Panel accessible All settings, presets, and samples are stored on MicroSD Global /Wavs folder with support for up to 128 globally available WAV files Global /Recs folder to store up to 1024 Recordings (WAV) made on the module Up to 48 Projects, each /Project folder supports— Up to 48 Presets Up to 128 Project specific WAV files 48kHz 24-bit Stereo I/O and 32-bit floating point internal processing Supported Sample Format: 48kHz 16-bit Stereo WAV, 32 Second max.
