TASCAM [Grand Clearance Sale] DR-70D (4-track recorder) (Field recorder) (TASCAM)
★Audio recorder for camera users The DR-70D is a 4-track linear PCM recorder that enhances the audio quality of video captured with DSLRs (digital single-lens reflex cameras) and v ideo cameras. Equipped with four XLR microphone inputs, it meets the needs of a wide range of video production environments, from entry-level users to professionals. Its rugged yet compact housing allows it to be mounted either above or below the camera, and its built-in stereo microphone allows for easy standalone recording. Combining the built-in microphone with the XLR microphone inputs allows for a wide range of setups without sacrificing mobility, such as connecting an ambience microphone to the built-in microphone and a gunshot microphone for interviews to the XLR input. Specialized for video capture, the DR-70D is a high-quality 4-track recorder that can be used in conjunction with multiple cameras in a wide range of settings, including film, documentary, and television productions. The preamplifier that amplifies microphone input audio features a proprietary HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) circuit boasting a maximum gain range of 64dB and an EIN (equivalent input noise) of -120dBu. Each of the four microphone inputs is equipped with a limiter and low-cut filter, allowing independent gain adjustment. A stereo mini-jack input is also provided for standard video camera microphones, allowing for a total of four channels of recording with a variety of microphone combinations. Another key feature is the high sound quality, which is reflected in the circuit design and component selection, including the use of the Texas Instruments NE5532 op-amp, which determines sound quality. It also comes equipped with numerous features specifically tailored for video shooting with a camera. It's equipped with a function to record a slate tone that can be used as a reference for aligning the camera's audio with the audio recorded by the DR-70D, and a CAMERA OUT jack for outputting audio mixed within the DR-70D to the camera. It also has a CAMERA IN jack for inputting and monitoring the camera's output audio, making it possible to monitor audio from DSLRs that don't have headphone jacks. ■Two built-in microphonesThe camera is equipped with two omnidirectional microphones. Even with just the camera, you can easily record a natural stereo sound image. When used in combination with a small gun microphone, you can simultaneously record the speaker's voice and surrounding sounds during an interview, allowing for a compact setup. ■ Equipped with four XLR/TRS combo jacks, allowing for a wide range of settings Equipped with four XLR/TRS inputs, the 4-channel design allows for operation with ambience and individual microphones for each speaker, two shotgun microphones, and a stereo microphone. Channels 1 and 2 can be selected as 3.5mm stereo inputs, while channels 3 and 4 can be selected as built-in microphones, allowing for a wider range of microphone setups. ■The built-in 4-input, 2-output mixer allows for 4-channel multi-recording or stereo mix recording. The built-in mixer can mix a total of four channels: four phantom-powered XLR inputs (1-4), a stereo mini input (1-2), and a built-in stereo microphone (3-4). In addition to adjustable pan and level, it also features a limiter, a five-stage low-cut filter, and a delay that can compensate for the distance between microphones. It also has an MS decoding function, so you can use MS stereo microphones. ■CAMERA OUT terminal for simultaneous recording with a camera Equipped with a dedicated terminal for outputting mixed audio to a camera, it is possible to record the same audio on the DR-70D and a camera. ■A versatile slate tone generator makes it easy to align with video filesA generator is built in that can emit a slate tone that serves as a reference for alignment. In addition to being able to emit a slate tone automatically at the start or end of recording, you can also use the SLATE button to emit a slate tone at any desired position. ■ Stereo mini-jack microphone input terminal (1-2) for connecting a video camera microphone The 3.5mm stereo mini 1-2 input terminals have a maximum input level of +10dBV and are designed to be compatible with video camera microphones with stereo mini outputs. For example, you could connect a video camera microphone for ambience to input terminals 1-2 and a shotgun microphone with an XLR connection to input terminals 3-4. Plug-in power can also be supplied.
