Discrete map is a continuous-time sequencer for autonomous and controlled music. At its core is an 8 stage event generator, with each stage positioned at precise points within a phrase, or responding to the motion of a voltage contour. It uses discrete logic circuits (no microprocessors or AD/DA converters), runs at audio rate, and is designed to interface with just about anything. At its most basic, Discrete Map creates a repeating measure or phrase, where the lower sliders control either the position or the duration of each note, and the upper sliders control the pitch. However, when integrated with other elements of your modular system, the operation of Discrete Map can become arbitrarily complex. Features 8 Stage Multi-function Sequencer Responsive sequencing, integrating with modular system dynamics Threshold-based event triggering for fluid, non-linear time control Two sequencing modes: direct positioning or relative step length Audio-rate capable, enabling waveshaping and bitcrushing Can be setup to function as a quantizer or chord generator Chainable to create 16–24 step sequences Expandable with gate sequencing, CV modulation, and a 3:1 switch Ultra-fast response with no microprocessors or aliasing Introduces dialectical sequencing for modular synthesis Video: https://youtu.be/r6_LDvZRqW4Product Specs Item Number: 37811 Make: New Systems Instruments Model: Discrete Map Condition: Brand New Finish: Black Categories: keyboards-and-synths ⇒ eurorack Function: Comparator Function Generator Oscillator Quantizer Sequencer Made In: United States MPN: DMap Modular Grid: Eurorack ⓘ + Dimensions: 34 HP 25 mm deep Power: 180 mA +12V 115 mA -12V 0 mA 5V
