As time goes by, hardware and software evolve, and the sound quality of music improves. This means that previously invisible sounds are coming into focus, and cables are required to deliver even more precise reproduction. To meet these demands at a high level, NEO has refined the QAC-202 based on user feedback. The new cable, the QAC-222, retains the distinctive, powerful sound of the QAC-202 while offering even greater clarity and a wider range of expression. The QAC-222 series utilizes Type 1 OFC conductor C1011, manufactured entirely in Japan. Additionally, we developed a hardened HC-OFC conductor for optimal compatibility with instruments and microphones. This achieves the accuracy and wide range required by professionals, unmatched by conventional OFC audio cables, while delivering a highly workable sound that maintains presence across all frequencies. While the QAC-222 is centered around the HC-OFC conductor, its design follows the QAC-202. The conductor is covered with a low-dielectric polyethylene (PE) insulator, which reduces the cable's capacitance, reducing signal transmission loss and achieving excellent high-frequency response. The inner sheath covering the insulator is made of low-density polyethylene (LDPE). By setting the inner sheath to a different hardness from the insulator, vibrations transmitted through the cable are effectively suppressed, resulting in sharper sound positioning.
