Though the firethorn bush blossoms petite white flowers in the spring alongside its waxy-green leaves, its name comes from the vibrant, orange-red berries found on its thorny stems during the fall. Also known as pyracantha and a member of the rose family, this plant can sprout from ten to fifteen feet tall, with a naturally upright, dense growth ideal for garden hedges. When designing this collection, Michael was inspired by the way the warm-toned berries harmonize with the hues of autumn.
