50s -Home Sewn- Womens turquoise shantung silk suit with the short sleeve top having a band collar and side inset sections which also accomplish bodice shaping. Two hat shaped 1 1/ 2inch purple/blue buttons fasten the front with two secondary snaps used also. The matching A-line skirt has a 2 1/2inch wide waistband with dart shaping and dual purple/blue buttons fastening the side above a metal zipper. Center back has a close kick-pleat extending up 7inches from the hem. The inside of both garments are lined by blue silky synthetic fabric.
