The Octavix is a modern take on the classic concept of combining fuzz with an octave-up tone, an effect that became iconic in the late 1960s. Housed in an EHX nano series housing, it features Volume, Boost, and Octave controls. The Volume control adjusts the overall volume, the Boost control adjusts the amount of fuzz, and the Octave control adjusts the volume of the octave-up tone. A mini toggle switch located at the bottom center of the pedal allows you to select between 9V and 24V for the overall circuit voltage. 9V provides a classic, loose fuzz sound, while 24V provides a tighter, richer octave-up tone. The pedal also operates in true bypass mode when off. The combination of a period-inspired psychedelic design and blue LEDs contributes to this pedal's vintage vibe. It runs on a 9V battery or a 9.6V DC-200 power adapter. Control BOOST: Adjusts the amount of fuzz (distortion). If you gradually turn down the guitar volume while the BOOST control is set high, you can get a slightly broken fuzz sound. OCTAVE: Adjusts the volume of the octave above signal. When turned fully counterclockwise, the octave above signal is removed from the signal path. VOLUME: Adjusts the volume of the effect sound. 9/24V Toggle Switch: This switch changes the voltage of the power supply supplied to the entire circuit. When set to the 9 position, the circuit is powered by 9V, and when set to the 24 position, it is powered by 24V. The 9V sound is reminiscent of classic fuzz from the mid-70s. 24V produces a tighter sound and a richer octave tone.
