40s -No Label- Womens plum rayon crepe fabric longsleeve dress The hemmed pull-over neckline flows into a front V shaping. Rusching below each of the forward shoulder seams have gathers on the left side flowing to stitched in pleats that extend up from the waist seam. The right side has a series of stitched and hand worked leaves. Below the left waist a matching spray flows below the hip area. Side thread carriers hold a fabric faced vinyl backed 1inch wide belt fastened by a large hook. The left side has an opening beginning 4inches below the arm seam with four tiny buttons fastening stabilized by the bias trim and concealed with an outer fabric. This garment has little shaping and measures 48inches from shoulder to hem. One errant thread on shoulder pleats that either has come loose a bit or was poorly sewn. Could be redone.
