Product Overview The Middle Atlantic BGR-3827-FWD is a pre-configured AV rack designed for commercial AV integration teams that need to cut rack build time without sacrificing build quality. This 38 RU, 27-inch deep BGR Series enclosure ships with factory-installed power, cable management, lighting, and thermal management, so technicians can move directly to equipment mounting in the shop or on site. For integrators standardizing rack fabrication across conference room and boardroom projects, this equipment rack with UPS backup and networked power distribution provides a consistent, repeatable foundation. Product Description The BGR-3827-FWD combines the BGR Series gangable enclosure with the Middle Atlantic Forward platform of tool-less rack accessories. A Forward UPS caster base (FWD-CBS-2KVA-BGR27) arrives with a UPS-2200R uninterruptible power supply pre-installed from the factory, ready to be integrated with your source and control equipment. Power distribution is handled by a 16-outlet Select Series vertical PDU with RackLink (RLNK-1015V), providing remote power monitoring and control for managed AV deployments. Forward blank panels and lacer bars snap into place without rack screws, which Middle Atlantic rates at five times faster installation than conventional hardware. Vertical cable management includes a Forward wire grid lace for combined vertical and horizontal routing, a Forward vertical cable management lace with the patented universal hole pattern, and two Lever Lock vertical channels. Included tie saddles accept both zip ties and hook-and-loop straps, supporting clean cable dressing in any direction with no added hardware. Small, non-rackmount devices such as network switches and control processors mount quickly with Forward side clamps and a Lever Lock plate. A dimmable utility light pair with IR sensor improves visibility during service work, and a DC fan top with four fans moving 276 CFM keeps installed electronics within operating temperature. The result is a rack that arrives on the job site closer to finished, reducing labor hours on multi-rack commercial AV installations. Key Features Factory Pre-Configuration — Power, cable management, lighting, and thermal accessories are installed before the rack ships, reducing on-site labor for integration teams. Pre-Installed UPS Power — The Forward UPS caster base (FWD-CBS-2KVA-BGR27) includes a UPS-2200R so connected AV equipment stays protected against power interruptions. RackLink Networked PDU — The 16-outlet RLNK-1015V vertical PDU enables remote power monitoring, outlet-level control, and reboot of rack-mounted devices. Tool-Less Forward Accessories — Forward blank panels and lacer bars install without rack screws for significantly faster rack assembly. Comprehensive Cable Management — A vertical wire grid lace, universal-hole-pattern lace, Lever Lock channels, and tie saddles keep high-density cabling organized and serviceable. Small Device Mounting — Forward side clamps and a Lever Lock plate secure non-rackmount devices such as switches and media players without drilling or extra hardware. Integrated Service Lighting — A dimmable utility light pair with IR sensor illuminates the rack interior during installation and maintenance. Active Thermal Management — A DC fan top with four fans moves 276 CFM to maintain safe operating temperatures, with an included fan controller.
