The Shin‑ei FY‑2 Fuzz Box is a gnarly little Japanese fuzz gem from the late ’60s to early ’70s. Just two knobs, Volume and Fuzz but that simplicity delivers raw, gated fuzz that s lices through with garage‑rock aggression. This Silicon version has a great mids‑cut bite. Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood, The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, Graham Coxon (Blur), William Reid (The Jesus and Mary Chain), and Stephen Morris (Joy Division/New Order) have all harnessed its snarling edge.
