Interesting story about this one! \n \nBuddy Baker attempted to qualify the #46 DuPont Automotive Finishes Chevrolet Lumina for Hendrick Motorsports at Talladega Superspeedway in 1 993, but he failed to do so. \n \nHendrick Motorsports decided to expand for the 1993 season with Jeff Gordon driving the #46 DuPont Chevrolet Lumina but a licensing agreement prohibited a team from using the number full-time.
