1. In this class, you will create a sunflower using both traditional hooking and proddy. We will go over how to create the proddy flower petals, and finish the flower, either as a small bowl filler or mounted on a stem. Each student will receive a kit containing the pattern drawn out on primitive linen, all wool needed to complete the flower as well as a piece of dyed wool for the backing. If anyone chooses to finish the flower as a small cushion, I will also have stuffing. I will have hoops and rug hooks available for purchase if students need either one. link Naomi Nieser-Allen has been rug hooking since about 2003 and is mostly self-taught. Thanks to the wonderful community of rug hookers she has created, she has learned so much more from the talented artists she’s met on her journey. She has taught rug hooking classes at her local adult education program as well as fiber festivals throughout the northeast.
