3M 362L Sandpaper These are our personal favourite sandpaper for edge finishing, everything from profiling the raw edge to fine sanding a painted edge. Also very useful in roughing leather when gluing. 40 Micron (400 grit): Used for profiling too, but it has a gentler bite. 30 Micron (600 grit): Intermediary grit, say shaping and correcting the edge paint between coats. 15 Micron (1200 grit): Fine polishing, yields a soft matte edge. 9 Micron (1800 grit): Ultra-fine polishing, gives a final fine luster to both edge painted and burnished edges. If you're going to use it for sharpening These can be used for sharpening, however, these sandpaper are not backed with adhesive. It is best glued to a flat surface like granite or glass if you intent to do so, maybe with spray on or double sided adhesive tape?
