This battery will power the best of Beetleweight bots! Great for SSP Kits and more! This small 3S LiPo is the perfect size for SSP kits, control bots, and other low-mid power beetleweight bots. At just 55.5 grams (1.96 oz) and a tested and verified capacity of at least 550mAh, this battery can power an SSP kit with dual Dragon drive motors and a servo weapon arm for over 10 minutes of aggressive driving per charge. To charge this battery, you will need a LiPo Battery Charger (such as the M4AC we now carry).We’ve tested over a dozen different brands of batteries and determined this one is top of the line, delivering 5-15% more capacity than labeled and capable of a very high burst discharge of over 50 amps. This is a very hard question to answer. The current rating of motors and ESCs doesn’t give you any real information about continuous power draw. You pretty much have to either use examples for similar bots or measure real-world power draw of your bot with a power meter such as the WM150 we use for internal testing.For a few points of comparison: SSP can run for about 3-5 fights (10-15 minutes) with this 550mAh 3S battery. Division runs a 4S 530mAh battery but it cannot survive more than 2 minutes at 100% weapon power with this. Many beater bar robots will need 850-1000mAh 4S LiPo batteries since beaters draw a ton more power than thin disk weapons. Specs Specifications & Test Data Voltage: 3S, 11.1V Nominal. Momentary peak current of 38-58 amps (62-105C). Expect a similar or better than average constant current C rating as other batteries in this class. This isn't easy to test and validate, but we’re looking into it. The higher and longer your current draw the hotter the battery gets as with all LiPos. Monitor temps to ensure safe operation at >20 amp constant current. SAFETY INFORMATION Charge the battery with a proper LiPo balance charger only. Inspect for damage or puffiness before charging or using. Safely dispose of if there is excessive puffiness or visible damage. Do not short-circuit the battery. This means connecting it directly to itself. Be very careful to inspect your wiring for shorts before connecting the battery. Do not charge any LiPo unattended. Do not charge the battery while it is inside your robot. It’s always safest to charge inside a LiPo Safe bag. Do not overcharge or over-discharge. This battery should be charged to 4.2V/cell (12.6V) and discharged no lower than 3.3V/cell (9.9V). Do not overheat the battery. If your battery seems warm to the touch after a fight, wait for it to cool before charging or using it again.
