I picked up this beauty in New York, a ikat handwoven cotton that has a simple design and a wonderfully soft hand. Since it's handwoven, it has some irregularities in the weave whi ch are not flaws, but are characteristic of handwoven fabrics. It's a shirting weight, semi-opaque, with a soft cottony drape. Threads are black and soft white, but it reads as a tweedy salt-and-pepper gray. SO lovely... I hope there's some left for me!
