Dunlop has collaborated with one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Edward Van Halen, to create this limited-edition EVH-90, recreating the phasing sound heard on Van Halen's early hits, including Eruption, Atomic Punk, and Ain't Talkin' Bout Love. ========================================================================================= Edward Van Halen began his legendary career with the guitar sound on his first record in 1978, a sound that still astounds more than 25 years later. The MXR Phase 90 was a huge part of Eddie's guitar sound. The Phase 90 contributed to many Van Halen tracks, including "Eruption Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love," "On Fire Atomic Punk," and many more. Now, Eddie Van Halen and Dunlop Manufacturing have collaborated to develop the EVH-90, an updated version of the Phase 90. The EVH-90 delivers the vintage, spacey, swirling, and pulsating sounds of the EVH-90. It also adds a more modern, bolder phaser sound, reminiscent of a handwritten logo in block letters. You'll notice a switch has been added to the head to toggle between the two. Plus, it features the iconic red with black and white stripes—yes, Eddie's legendary Frankenstein guitar design—to symbolize the collaboration.
