Each rug is hand-made using the nomadic style wool warp and wept foundation of high-quality Armenian wool. The Kazak designs hail from the western region of Armenia. The hooks represent health, happiness and protection from the malice and evil eye, anything bad approaching is caught by the hooks. Borachalu III Ruby is hand knotted of 100% Armenian wool in colors of bright ruby red, ivory, deep blue, teal blue, and yellow beige. This rug has a pile height around a third of an inch.
