The Kramer Ferrington KFS-2 was part of Kramer’s mid-80s experiment with lightweight acoustic-electrics designed by Danny Ferrington and built by Young Chang in Korea. It kept the thin, hollow body and electric-style playability of the Ferrington line, but swapped the natural look of the KFS-1 for bold solid colours like bright red. With its shallow body, round soundhole and double-cutaway electric shape, it was aimed at electric players who needed an acoustic-friendly tone on stage without the feel of a traditional acoustic. Truss rod cover has been replaced. Very little room left in the truss rod to tighten, however ample saddle remains if lower action desired; currently set up with medium action, 12-53 guage strings.
