Dato Instruments Dato DRUM is a playful, hands-on drum machine designed to make rhythm approachable for anyone, from kids through to seasoned musicians. Its circular, visual step sequencer encourages intuitive pattern building, with four sample-based drum voices that can be reshaped using pitch sliders, filters, and lo-fi crush effects. Random and repeat functions add variation without complexity, keeping things immediate and engaging. Housed in a solid metal enclosure wrapped in soft felt, Dato DRUM is built to live happily on a coffee table or studio desk. A built-in speaker makes instant jams easy, with line I/O, full-size MIDI, sync connections, and USB-C power allowing it to slot neatly into more advanced setups. Made in the Netherlands, it balances toy-like accessibility with genuinely inspiring musical depth. Includes manual and USB cable.
